The 8th Annual Coworking Europe promises to be a special event highlighting the new advancements in the Coworking industry. One of the major highlights of this event is the digital transformation the location of the event has gone through in the last year. Dublin, Ireland has exploded as a start-up friendly tech hub, one of the most prominent in Europe. What makes the rise of technology in Dublin so special is how the city has still maintained the old-style, antiquated aesthetic as a walkable city. While attending the Coworking Europe 2017 event there are several new and classic venues to see for recreational and historical activities as well as some good old-fashioned sightseeing. Here are a few places to hit up during the event.
Places to Eat
For breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the occasional brunch, there are several locations with new and traditional cuisine all throughout Dublin. If you’re by the city centre during the day you should consider the Beanhive for a traditional Irish Breakfast. If you want to try something else exquisite you may want to look into the Whitefriar grill where the locals have recommended to us the lobster hash and truffle French toast. Right inside Croke Park is the Lovely Food Company with an eggs benedict that is also recommended.
For lunch, there are two awesome sandwich places to try out. If you’re on Harrison Street you’ll find Sister Sadie has sandwiches at an excellent value. On Parnell, the 147 Deli is a popular location that locals frequent for sandwiches and coffee.
For dinner, there are a variety of options based on your location. Within Croke Park, however, there are two fine locations you should try out: Wallace’s Asti and the Sideline Bistro located inside the Croke Park Hotel. If you’re within the City Center you’re most likely going to be within walking distance of the following places:
Places to Drink
At some point you’ll probably want to unwind. If you’re a fan of drinking Dublin will give you the perfect opportunity to explore the hottest bars and venues as well as a few historical landmarks of Ireland. For historical reasons, we obviously recommend the Jameson Distillery as well as the Guinness Storehouse.

There are some other places located very close to the vicinity of the city centre and Croke Park. For exquisite cocktails, you would want to try the Vintage Cocktail Club, which is an old prohibition-style speakeasy. If you’re looking for an Irish pub, we recommend O’Donoghue’s on 15 Merrion Row. It often features live music. Another gorgeous pub is The Bernard Shaw, named after the famous Irish Playwright of the 1800’s with a large beer garden and pizza café. For innovation and style, you can try the Powerscourt Townhouse Café or the Pygmalion which is more of a spot for coders and techies.
Remember that Dublin is a walkable city. If you want to venture out further into the city you can find the following locations:
We look forward to seeing you in Dublin. As noted, there are many places to see with virtually everything within a good walking distance. For more information on seeing Dublin throughout the 2017 Coworking Europe event, please download our official guide below.
